MODELS FOR MORPHOGENESIS

 

Notes: 

  • The models below were created in Comsol 4.2. They are somewhat different from the Comsol 3.5 models in the referenced papers. Vesrion 4 also requires a somewhat different formulation for growth. 
  • Model parameters are defined in the parameter and variable windows. 
  • Various features, e.g., growth laws and fluid constraint, can be modified or turned on or off as desired. However, a working knowledge of Comsol is required.

These models simulate cell wedging in the indicated region at the shell apex. By default, they are filled with incompressible fluid. More details can be found here.
