Mechanics of Morphogenesis
One of nature’s great mysteries is how the one-dimensional code of the DNA molecule is translated into three-dimensional form. Building an embryo requires mechanical forces. Our research has focused on understanding the role that mechanics plays in creating tissues and organs. Our tools include both computational modeling and laboratory experiments.
