One of nature's great mysteries is how the one-dimensional code of the DNA molecule is translated into three-dimensional form. Building an embryo requires mechanical forces, and our research focuses on understanding the role that mechanics plays in creating tissues and organs. Our tools include both computational modeling and laboratory experiments.
